About Fuel Daddy
Australia's free, ad-free fuel price comparison platform. We help thousands of drivers right across the country save money every day by finding the cheapest petrol, diesel, and E10 prices near them.
Our Mission
At Fuel Daddy, we believe every Australian driver deserves access to transparent fuel pricing. With petrol prices constantly fluctuating, finding the cheapest fuel shouldn't be a guessing game.
We aggregate real-time fuel price data from every reporting petrol station across Australia - over 8,100 of them - making it easy to compare prices and save money on every fill-up. Whether you're checking petrol prices in Brisbane, Sydney petrol stations, Melbourne fuel, Perth fuel prices, or anywhere in between, Fuel Daddy has you covered.
Why I built Fuel Daddy

I'm Mitchell Down, the founder of Fuel Daddy. I built it because every other fuel app I tried felt like it was working against me - ads everywhere, an account to create before you could do anything, push notifications I never asked for. Drivers don't need any of that. You want a price, a location, and a way to get there. So I built the tool I actually wanted to use at the bowser.
Fuel Daddy pulls live prices straight from each state's official Government fuel feed, refreshes every 15 minutes, and shows you the cheapest fill-up near you in a couple of taps. No banner ads, no pop-ups, no email sign-up, no data harvesting. It started as a tool for Queensland drivers, grew over about nine months into something people check before every fill-up, and now covers the whole country - QLD, NSW, the ACT, VIC, WA, SA, the NT and TAS.
Keeping it free and simple genuinely costs me money - the data feeds, the servers and the ongoing development all add up every month. I'd rather wear that than chase quick revenue at the expense of the experience. The core - finding cheaper fuel near you - will always stay free, ad-free and account-free; you'll never hit a paywall just to see a price. I read every piece of feedback, so if something's wrong or missing, tell me.
I also run Sell Any Car Fast here in Brisbane - cars and the cost of running them are a bit of a theme for me.
How Fuel Daddy Works
Fuel Daddy pulls live pricing data from each state's official Government fuel-price feed - the Queensland Fuel Price Reporting Scheme, NSW FuelCheck (covering NSW and the ACT), Victoria's Fair Fuel data, WA FuelWatch, and the NT and TAS feeds. In the mandatory-reporting states every petrol station must report its prices, and we display it all in an easy-to-use map interface.
- Open Fuel Daddy - Access our app or website from any device
- Allow Location - We'll find petrol stations near you automatically
- Compare Prices - See real-time prices for Unleaded, Premium, Diesel & E10

Our Data Sources
All fuel prices on Fuel Daddy come from official Government fuel-price feeds:
- The Queensland Fuel Price Reporting Scheme, which requires every QLD fuel retailer to report price changes within 30 minutes of any change.
- The NSW Government FuelCheck program, which applies the same 30-minute reporting rule across NSW and the ACT.
- Service Victoria's Fair Fuel open data for Victoria, WA FuelWatch for Western Australia, plus the official Northern Territory and Tasmania price feeds.
This means the prices you see on Fuel Daddy are accurate, up-to-date, and sourced direct from government data. We don't rely on user-submitted data or estimates, just official government-mandated pricing. (The VIC and WA feeds publish on a daily cycle, so those prices can be up to a day old.)
